This wonderful 3 BR/3.5 bath two story home is situated at the end of the cul de sac overlooking the 8th green of the, temporarily closed, Melrose Golf Course. The charming great room has been designed to offer its guest a family environment, for here you'll find stately white colums, a marble and wood fireplace, beautiful dark wood floors, leather sofa, antique chests, wicker chairs, a harbour town light house lamp stand and end table, built in book shelves and a large flat screen TV mounted over the fireplace. A tan sisal rug in this family room pulls it all together providing a very relaxing charming and comfortable environment.
The dark wood flooring flows into the open and charming dining area. Here you'll find a wood dining room table that seats six beneath a beautiful glass and bronze chandelier. The open kitchen is very much a part of the whole great room concept so no one will feel left out. The same dark wood floor continues into the kitchen, which has been decorated as an updated country kitchen. White glass cabinets and an individual dish storage rack combines with the forest green tiles and breakfast bar peninsula with three bar stools to continue the warmth and charm.
Added appeal and excitement is created with the screened in back porch, which extends the entire width of the home. With two entrances you will step out into an amazing magical setting of moss draped oaks, palms and pine trees with views out over a salt marsh then fairway and greens. As this screened in porch faces east, you'll have an enchanting morning hearing the breeze through the trees, the calls of birds and, if the wind is blowing onshore, the sound of waves. The large wooden screened in porch offers a table with rocking chairs, a small café table with two chairs, two overhead fans and a grand statement or testimony to the good life, a full size hammock.
The first bedroom is on the main floor. Here you'll discover the master bedroom with king bed, private access to the porch, TV with VCR and overhead fan. The master bath has a green marble tile floor, large oval tub and separate shower. Completing this floor is a half bath with golf theme and a stacked washing machine and dryer in a closet.
Upstairs you're in for another treat, as here you'll find a second smaller family room with a sleeper sofa, tv and vcr. Windowed doors open out onto an open deck. The two bedrooms upstairs each offer a queen bed, window seat and private bath with a pedestal sink. One of the two baths offers a combination shower and tub while the other offers a shower only. Guest sleeping in the second family room has access to this bathroom via a hall door.
